Popcorn 2009 - Mission Accomplished!

Pack 8, you know you're great, but did you know you are awesome??!! Thanks to the selfless dedication of time, creativity and the power of Cub Scout energy and enthusiasm, we have reached our goal in popcorn sales!

The official tally stands at $56,197 - have your son take a look at our popcorn thermometer!

So, Mr. Kubala said he would color his hair purple for the Pinewood Derby if we made it - better start mixing up that hair dye, Mr. Kubala!!!

A reminder to select your son's prizes by Sunday, November 15 - instructions attached - if you have any issues, you can email the selection.

Popcorn pickup is tentatively planned for the morning of Saturday, November 21st - more precise information will be sent out as details are firmed up - we will be asking the Den leaders for volunteers to help out - thanks in advance for your support.

The Bow & Mallows will be available next week - I will send a separate email with logistics information.

If by any chance you still have a form or money to turn in, please reach out as soon as possible to arrange to turn it in.

Thanks again for all your great efforts - Scouting is Powered by Popcorn, but Popcorn is powered by you!

We are Cub Scouts Pack 8, based near Ballantyne in Charlotte, NC. We are chartered by St. Matthew Catholic Church, and we belong to the Apache Division of the Mecklenburg Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Cub Scouting is for boys in the first through fifth grades, or 7 to 10 years of age. For a guide to Pack 8 for 2008/2009 - click here.

Boys who are older than 10, or who have completed the fifth grade, can no longer join our Pack, but they may be eligible to join the Boy Scouting Troops. Contact Scoutmaster Mark Spisak for information on how to join Troop 8.

We'd love to hear from you!
