2012 Blue and Gold Ceremony

Please come out to the 2012 Blue and Gold Ceremony held on 2/25/12 at the St. Matthews Elementary School Cafeteria. The Ceremony kicks off at 2pm and will include honors for our Leaders, Volunteers, Scouts as well as a Den Chiefs.

We'll also be announcing the winners of this year's Pinewood Derby.

In an effort to help raise money for the Friends of Scouting Campaign, there will be a basket auction, feller cake auction, and a general calling for pledges to help support the various camps and activities for our scouts in Pack 8 and throughout the County.

We are Cub Scouts Pack 8, based near Ballantyne in Charlotte, NC. We are chartered by St. Matthew Catholic Church, and we belong to the Apache Division of the Mecklenburg Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Cub Scouting is for boys in the first through fifth grades, or 7 to 10 years of age. For a guide to Pack 8 for 2009/2010 - click here.

Boys who are older than 10, or who have completed the fifth grade, can no longer join our Pack, but they may be eligible to join the Boy Scouting Troops. Contact Scoutmaster Mark Spisak for information on how to join Troop 8.
