Pack 8 Blue and Gold Banquet

The annual Blue and Gold Banquet is quickly approaching! This year’s banquet is special -- we will be awarding rank awards to several Cub Scouts who have worked hard over the past six months

Please make plans to join us for this year’s banquet on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 4 p.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church Parish Center.

Catering is by The Q Shack. The menu will feature hickory smoked pulled pork BBQ, kid-friendly chicken, hushpuppies, Texas Toast, mac & cheese, tossed salad, potato salad, drinks, and dessert.

Please RSVP by March 9 and limit attendees to immediate family. We still have lots of Volunteer Opportunities! If you’re interested, please contact Christi Coverston via email at ccoverston@carolina.rr.com.

We are Cub Scouts Pack 8, based near Ballantyne in Charlotte, NC. We are chartered by St. Matthew Catholic Church, and we belong to the Apache Division of the Mecklenburg Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Cub Scouting is for boys in the first through fifth grades, or 7 to 10 years of age. For a guide to Pack 8 for 2009/2010 - click here.

Boys who are older than 10, or who have completed the fifth grade, can no longer join our Pack, but they may be eligible to join the Boy Scouting Troops. Contact Scoutmaster Mark Spisak for information on how to join Troop 8.
