Join Us at the Fall 2009 Watermelon Festival!

For all of you new to Pack 8, and those of you coming back from a great summer, please join us at our 4th annual Watermelon Festival - we'll have swimming, a GPS course, the BB Range will be open, games, watermelon, and a campfire! Some of us will be staying overnight - you are welcome to join us either for the day or for the night - please let Mrs. White know if you're going to join us by e-mail at ioanamw@carolina.rr.com!

This is a great opportunity for aspiring Cub Scouts to try Scouting - more than one current Cub Scout in Pack 8 joined the Pack after attending a Watermelon Festival!

We are Cub Scouts Pack 8, based near Ballantyne in Charlotte, NC. We are chartered by St. Matthew Catholic Church, and we belong to the Apache Division of the Mecklenburg Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Cub Scouting is for boys in the first through fifth grades, or 7 to 10 years of age. For a guide to Pack 8 for 2009/2010 - click here.

Boys who are older than 10, or who have completed the fifth grade, can no longer join our Pack, but they may be eligible to join the Boy Scouting Troops. Contact Scoutmaster Mark Spisak for information on how to join Troop 8.
