Webelos Take On Copperhead Challenge

The Webelos of Pack 8 had a fantastic one night campout where they focused on their Outdoorsman and Readyman badges as well as their Volleyball and Astronomy Belt Loops.

Boy Scouts from Troop 8 taught members of the Pack firebuilding and first aid, while Assistant Den Leader Dan Haller took the Scouts through a recreation of our Solar System using Scouts as the heavenly bodies and Assistant Den Leader John Clinton and Assistant Scoutmaster Mike Nielsen took the Scouts through creating a tent from two sticks, some rope and a tarp.

We are Cub Scouts Pack 8, based near Ballantyne in Charlotte, NC. We are chartered by St. Matthew Catholic Church, and we belong to the Apache Division of the Mecklenburg Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Cub Scouting is for boys in the first through fifth grades, or 7 to 10 years of age. For a guide to Pack 8 for 2009/2010 - click here.

Boys who are older than 10, or who have completed the fifth grade, can no longer join our Pack, but they may be eligible to join the Boy Scouting Troops. Contact Scoutmaster Mark Spisak for information on how to join Troop 8.
